The Parrot RK8200 is an FM/AM RDS car stereo, featuring all the connections
required for digital and analogue music. It is also a Bluetooth hands-free
kit boasting sophisticated telephony functions. Completely built into
the vehicle's audio system, music and conversations are reproduced over
the vehicle's speakers for maximum listening quality.
Dedicated
to digital music
A car stereo has never provided so many connections: specific iPod connector,
port for a USB flash drive and USB MP3 player, SD card reader and a
line-in socket for analogue sources. The Parrot RK8200 also plays files
sent by Bluetooth (compatible with Bluetooth stereo A2DP) from a Bluetooth
mobile phone or player. Over 300 MP3 tracks can be stored in its internal
memory.

Bluetooth hands-free kit
The Parrot RK8200 features the most advanced hands-free telephony technologies.
The phonebooks on the mobile and RK8200 are automatically synchronised.
You can receive your calls without needing to take the phone out of
your pocket, you can browse the list of contacts on the car stereo's
screenand listen to the kit say the names in the phonebook (TTS speech
synthesis). You can also make calls using the built-in voice recognition
feature. When a call comes in, the contact's name is displayed and the
music is automatically muted, only to be switched back on at the end
of the call.
An innovative
interface
All the information from the Parrot RK8200 or phone is displayed on
a particularly bright 2.4-inch TFT screen with 262 144 colours. You
can easily browse through your music library and view the album covers,
artists' names, tracks, and so on. The keypad sports an ergonomic, modern
design, and the main commands are accessed by means of a sleek central
rotary button. A highly practical storage compartment is located behind
the removable front panel: ideal for hiding a phone, MP3 player or USB
flash drive.
Crystal-clear
conversations
The Parrot RK8200 features all of Parrot's innovations in terms of signal
processing. The two microphones built into the front panel take advantage
of Parrot's new DCBM noise reduction technology (Dynamic Choice of Best
Microphone): the RK8200 automatically detects the position of the person
speaking and dynamically chooses the active microphone. It is a truly
full-duplex hands-free kit / car stereo with echo cancellation, so that
all your conversations are crystal-clear and fully
intelligible in all circumstances.
Powerful,
configurable sound
Equipped with a 180W amplifier and unique sound effects like "Virtual
Super Bass", this car stereo adjusts the volume according to the
surrounding noise, giving you a new music experience. Seven equaliser
bands allow you to fine-tune the settings to suit your vehicle's acoustics
or your preferences, unless you opt for one of
the 11 predefined settings.

Wireless technology
The Bluetooth wireless technology enables voice and data to be sent
via a short distance radio link. It connects a wide range of electronic
equipment without equiring additional cables. Furthermore, it extends
the communication possibilities for mobile phones and a large number
of devices. The Bluetooth Stereo (A2DP) profile uses the same short
distance radio frequencies to transport musical files from one peripheral
to another one.
